250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence Patriotic Pops Concert

Join the Wallingford Symphony Orchestra as we celebrate America's 250th Birthday with a patriotic musical tribute honoring our nation's history, heritage, and enduring spirit.


This festive summer concert features beloved American classics, patriotic favorites, Broadway melodies, jazz standards, and stirring marches that have become part of the soundtrack of American life. Under the direction of Philip Thomas Ventre, and featuring acclaimed vocalist Susan Yankee, the evening offers something for audiences of every age.

The program opens with treasured patriotic songs including The Star-Spangled Banner, America the Beautiful, America, My Country ’Tis of Thee, This Is My Country, and This Land Is Your Land, celebrating the ideals and traditions that have united generations of Americans.


Journey through the heart of America with timeless favorites such as What a Wonderful World, The Liberty Bell, Our United States, and The Battle Hymn of the Republic.…
