OUR CONCERT SEASON!



The Wallingford Symphony Orchestra (WSO) was founded in December, 1974 and its first concert was endorsed and funded by the Horizons Committee of the Wallingford Bicentennial Commission as a project in tribute to our nation's 200th anniversary.


During the ensuing three decades the many persons who have been affiliated with the WSO have endeavored to fulfill the organization's mission statement which reads verbatim:



"The Wallingford Symphony Orchestra is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing professional quality orchestral music to the greater Wallingford area through public performances and community outreach; to enabling musicians to enhance their musical abilities and awareness; to fostering an appreciation for music in the community's youth; and to being an integral and active member in the cultural life of the community."
